Self Promotion

Trying to get Megazine back up and running. Posted my review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Starting an article about the use of CGI...basically when it's okay and when it's not.

A Wasted Youth is Better By Far Than a Wise and Productive Old Age

Meat Loaf, you're always there to describe my life for me.

Whew...been awhile. Lest I let this get to Maggie-like proportions, an update is in order. I am sorry for the lack thereof, and for the lack of being online. There's two things at play there - one, my life has changed a lot from the time when I could update every other day and be online pretty much every night, but not in any way that makes for terribly compelling blog material; and two, aside from that which makes for poor blog material, it doesn't feel like I have a lot to say, so when I do sit down to update...nothing. I've mostly been hanging out with the gang and watching movies.

Got some hours at Nordstrom when I'm back in July. Bad news for ya'll, I know, but I'll only be working like three weeks total so trust me, I won't be afraid to live it up during that time. The worst news though is that the Anniversary Sale this year is the very day The Dark Knight is released, which means I won't be able to go at midnight the night before and I won't be able to go the night of. Best case scenario, I can go the day after. Hopefully one of you will be kind enough to wait.

I know it's still Spring, but it's Summer in my book so where's the weather yo? We're middling around the 60s with occasional showers for as long as the forecast stretches. Oh sweet it's gonna be in the 70s next week...the very day I start work. So lame.

Iron Man rules. Speed Racer rules.

Some Nights I Just Lose It All When I Watch You Dance and the Thunder Rolls

Very strange thing happening to me right now...I'm bored. After going, going, going every day all day for the past eight days, I have now a day to do as I please. And dammit, it feels good.

Unfortunately, Maggie and Doug are getting here Sunday, and I'll still have a lot of work for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Sorry kids...I promise I'll...I won't even half-ass it. I'll quarter-ass it. I'll put as little ass into it as I possibly can.

WIsh I knew about this earlier...tomorrow at 9am, people in Portland will be meeting up to canvass for Steve Novick, the midget with a hook who's running to represent Oregon in the U.S. Senate. Actually, it's happening all over Oregon, but in Portland you can actually meet Steve. Granted, it's early and it's on a Saturday, but I swear to God if I was in Portland I'd be there in a heartbeat.

It's a pretty well-run campaign, actually. I mean, they're not exactly shying away from the hook aspect - it's front and center in his campaign buttons, television ads, and, shortly, his beer, but the website is quick to emphasize his stance on issues and reasons why he'd be a genuinely great representative. Now, let's be clear. I don't read those parts because I really don't give a damn; he has a hook, and that's enough for me. I mean, I voted for John Kerry...I clearly have no voting pride.

I listened to Meat Loaf all afternoon and it was the best way to start my day.

LOST is so frickin' cool.

Here is something you'll all like.

Out.
